3 Fantasy Football Sleepers You NEED To Draft This Year!

It's that thrilling time of the year again - Draft Season is here!

Every year, around late July and Early August, men all across the country begin preparing for their fantasy football drafts. They start to research, prepare their draft board rankings, and do several mock drafts to help ensure they draft the best team possible and leave all their friends in the dust. While fun during August, this undoubtedly always goes wrong due to some injury to a star player, a random suspension, or making a bad trade that hurts you later on. To prevent these unbecoming and disappointing events from befalling someone, there is just one cure: Sleepers. Players that are falling way later in the draft than they should be, and quality that will help teams win their fantasy league.

Now, let's get to the good stuff. Here are three sleepers who could be the secret weapons for men nationwide in their quest to win their fantasy football leagues.

Devin Singletary, RB, New York Giants

While former All-Pro Saquon Barkley left the Giants this offseason for in-division rival Philadelphia, the G-Men brought in Singletary, a more viable option for managers to roster and start plenty of weeks. Despite the Giants' offensive line being less than desirable, the lack of competition for touches and quarterback play makes Singletary an incredibly unique prospect for fantasy managers. Singletary showed flashes of elite play in Houston last year that, when paired with Daniel Jones constantly dumping the ball off and goal-line touches with no competition, should lead to plenty of points. Singletary typically lasts late into drafts; if he is there past the eighth or ninth round, consider drafting Singletary for a rainy day and watch him be a more than consistent flex option.

Ladd McConkey, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Outside of Quentin Johnson and Joshua Palmer, McConkey has no competition for receptions in LA. Drafted out of Georgia this past season, McConkey is a skilled route runner who can more than handle himself against tough defenders and schemes. While Ladd is not a chunk yardage receiver, more of a route runner, the low strength of the Chargers' WR core could allow him to be volatile come fantasy season. Since new coach Jim Harbaugh decided to address the need for an offensive line in the first draft round, fans can assume that star quarterback Justin Herbert will be given more time than ever to help throw the ball. If so, McConkey could be a good option for a flex slot in PPR.

    Curtis Samuel, WR, Buffalo Bills

Curtis Samuel has struggled to produce for a few seasons, but there is an apparent reason for this. Samuel's best years were in Carolina, under the offense of offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Now, they will finally be reunited this season in Buffalo. While already an ideal scheme fit, given a good match between coordinator and player, the Bills lost their top two wide receivers, Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, this offseason in free agency. The Bills did draft a wide receiver, but rookie Keon Coleman plays a much different style than Samuel. Samuel is a home run hitter who goes for big plays and burns defenses quickly. Given that he is now the number two receiver in Buffalo, a reunion with a previous coordinator, and a great deep ball quarterback in Josh Allen, the stars are aligning for Samuel.
