    Noah Lyles.

We're now more than halfway through the Paris Games. Here's the latest from Sunday's action as we enter the final Olympic week.

Tennis great Novak Djokovic finally completed his career Golden Slam — winning all four tennis majors and an Olympic gold medal — defeating Spain's Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets for gold in the men's singles final Sunday. Djokovic became the first player since Serena Williams in 2012 and the first man since Rafael Nadal in 2008 to complete the Golden Slam. The Serbian was clearly emotional with his family in the stands after winning the match.

The final day in the pool delivered the drama Sunday. Sweden's Sarah Sjostrom won her third gold medal in the women's 50 freestyle but American Gretchen Walsh heartbreakingly missed the podium by .01 seconds.

Bobby Finke won the men's 1500 freestyle and broke the 12-year-old world record, becoming the first and only American man to win individual gold in Paris. And in the relays , the U.S. men lost the 4x100 medley relay for the first time with China out-touching them for gold. The American women finished off the Paris program by breaking the world record and winning the final gold in their medley relay — a crucial win to top Australia in the swimming rivalry .

Team USA women's basketball won its 58th straight Olympic game 87-68 over Germany to qualify for the knockout round. Their opponent is still pending. The men's 3x3 team, however, was eliminated and did not qualify for the knockouts, finishing with a dismal 2-5 record.

In gymnastics, American Suni Lee won bronze on the uneven bars to become the first American woman to win two medals in that event. Algerian gymnast Kaylia Nemour won not only her country's first gymnastics medal with gold in the same event but also Africa's first. Chinese gymnast Qiu Qiyuan won silver.

Three big things about Team USA

    1. Noah Lyles wins 100-meter dash in photo finish

American Noah Lyles officially became the "fastest man alive" Sunday, winning the men's 100-meter dash in an epic photo finish. Lyles' gold is the first for Team USA in the event since 2004. The finish was so tight first and second place were separated by a mere .005 seconds. American Fred Kerley won bronze, making it the first time since the 2004 Athens Games that the U.S. has won two medals in the 100. Lyles will next race to win gold in the men's 200-meter — looking to become the first man since Carl Lewis in 1984 to claim gold in both events.

    2. Scottie Scheffler comes from behind to win men's golfing gold

Team USA's Scottie Scheffler sat four shots behind the leaders heading into the final round Sunday morning, staging an epic comeback to win Olympic gold. The world's No. 1 golfer fired four straight birdies and set a course record of 9 under 62 to get the win. Great Britain's Tommy Fleetwood won silver and Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, who led for most of the weekend, earned bronze.

    3. Female cyclist wins first American gold since 1984

Sunday morning Kristen Faulkner incredibly won Team USA's first women's cycling road race gold since 1984, the event's debut. The Homer, Alaska, native only took up cycling within the last decade, quitting her job in 2017 to pursue it full-time. Faulkner's win was a major upset as she surged past the leading group in the final few miles and crossed the finish by a huge margin of almost a minute ahead of the next closest rider.

    You won't believe this

The debut of the kayak cross has Olympic fans dumbstruck. A combination of canoeing whitewater disciplines and a free-for-all style race, this competition is one you have to see to believe.
