Gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik became a national icon while competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. While the 25-year-old only competes on the pommel horse, Nedoroscik's brilliance on the apparatus helped the men's national team win their first medal in 16 years, and he brought home the men's first individual medal since 2016.

However, long before "The Pommel Horse Guy" became America's Olympic darling and a two-time bronze medalist, he had the love and support of his girlfriend, Tess McCracken.

McCracken, Nedoroscik's partner of eight years, continued to be his biggest cheerleader at the Bercy Arena. After his journey in Paris came to a close, and McCracken boarded her flight back stateside, she shared a heartfelt message to Nedoroscik on Instagram.

McCracken captioned the post, "Happy is what happens when all your dreams come true ❤️. For the entire time I’ve known you, you have been nothing but absolutely certain that one day you would be an Olympian, and seeing that dream become a reality this week is a feeling that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

"Stephen, you are the greatest partner, athlete, and role model. I can’t wait to see what life has in store for you next, and I will be right beside you for every moment of it 🥰."

McCracken, who first met Nedoroscik while they were students at Penn State, is a former gymnast herself. Before heading to college, she trained with Cecile and Laurent Landi, Simone Biles' current coaches, and competed in the Junior Olympics Nationals. After four years on Penn State's gymnastics team, the 26-year-old announced her retirement from the sport in March 2020.

McCracken went on to earn a masters in biotechnology while Nedoroscik graduated with an engineering degree. Speaking to E! News in Paris, she revealed what makes their relationship work.

“I think it's really that we just get each other,” McCracken said. “Being able to have the intellectual conversations, the gymnastics conversations—we very frequently end up having debates”

“We're each other's person,” she continued. "We don't get tired of each other. We don't feel like we need like that break. I think that has really helped over the last eight years—just keep us solid. And it's been a great time.”
