Televangelist and preacher Benny Hinn's wife files for divorce, again

In the past, some Alabamians would tune in to watch a Benny Hinn televised sermon with some attending in-person sermons.

Between the 1990s and 2000s, Benny Hinn was a controversial televangelist and preacher who captivated many Alabamians. One of his visits to Alabama can be seen on YouTube, showcasing his many followers worshiping alongside him.

In 2016, Trinity Broadcasting Network removed Benny’s TV program and Daystar Television Network dropped the program in 2017.

Benny Regrets 2 Things

In a May 2024 interview with The Strang Report, Hinn admitted two things he regrets during his time in leadership.

I was not too wise a number of times with prophecy. I had guests come to the crusades that I think brought harm to not only people’s lives but also to my reputation because their prophecies were not really prophecy. They went outside the borders of redemption. And then there were times when I thought God had showed me something that He wasn’t showing me. And I spoke it out.

Hinn followed with a Bible verse and asked for forgiveness from Alabamians and others he may have harmed through his teaching. He also wanted everyone to know that he isn't perfect and that another mistake may come, in the future.

But in 1 Corinthians 13, we clearly see that we all prophesy in part. That means we don’t see the full picture. And sadly — and I wish I could go back and fix it — but sadly, there were some prophecies I gave that were not accurate or from the Lord.

But who’s perfect? And for that, of course, I ask people to forgive me. I’m just human and made mistakes like that. I’ll probably make them again, I suppose, down the road, because I’m not perfect.

Suzanne Hinn files for divorce, again

In February 2010, Suzanne Hinn filed for divorce after marrying on August 4, 1979, and at that time Benny Hinn blamed the divorce on Suzanne's prescription drug addiction, according to The Christian Post. By 2012, the couple reconciled and remarried in 2013 with 1,000 people in attendance.

Fast forward to 2024, The Christian Post reported that Suzanne filed for divorce from Benny again, and the couple currently lives more than 60 miles apart. As of now, neither have made public statements about the separation.

The Trinity Foundation reported that unless a prenuptial agreement was signed, the assets acquired during the marriage should be fairly distributed. Since 2013, the Hinns acquired four properties, valued at approximately $5.1 million. One home is in their names, while two houses and a beach condo are registered under the Dayspring Family Trust, with Benny serving as trustee.

All properties were purchased outright, as indicated by the issuance of warranty deeds, without involving mortgages.
