Thai GL Series The Loyal Pin Episode 1 Recap & Spoilers

The awaited Thai GL series The Loyal Pin premiered on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 10:15 p.m. ICT on Workpoint TV. It stars Freen Sarocha Chankimha as Lady Khunying Pin and Becky Rebecca Patricia Armstrong as Princess Anilpat. The drama’s storyline follows the two’s love story.

Episode 1 of The Loyal Pin introduces viewers to the Savettawarit Grand Palace. Lady Pin’s aunt, Princess Pattamika, brings her to the Lotus Palace to stay with her after her parents pass away. She tells Lady Pin she’ll be her mother and father from now on.

Princess Anin finds a crying Pin and befriends her. Furthermore, the former says the latter doesn’t have to address her with royal terms. A grown-up Pin narrates it has been many years since Princess Patt took her in at the palace. His Highness’ mother, Lady Khlai, had adopted Patt when she was little. Pin says although her aunt is strict, she loves her dearly and educates her. Meanwhile, the Prince and Princess Alisa have also been kind to her. The pair’s three children are Anantawut, Arnon, and Anilpat. The youngest is the most mischievous, and her partner in crime is her servant, Prik. Meanwhile, Pin tries to keep the princess in line and looks after her.

Further in the episode, Pin tends to Anin’s wound and tells her to get ready for her brother’s welcome party. Later, the two greet the latter’s brother at the party and celebrate the reunion. Furthermore, Anin asks Pin to share a dance with her. The following flashback shows how the former would cheer up the latter whenever she missed her parents. From playing as kids to attending school together, the two grow up by each other’s sides.

In the past, Pin jumped in to protect Anin when she was playing and a snake got to her. Later, Pin got scolded by her aunt for taking Anin to play at a dangerous place. However, the latter said she asked Pin to join her in a mischievous act. Anin also said the latter saved her from danger. The former then told Patt if she was going to punish Pin, she must punish her too. Patt replied she’d send Pin to a boarding school to stop the troublesome behaviors. After requesting not to do so, Anin says if the latter goes, she will too.

In the present day, Pin and Anin continue their dance as the former thanks the latter for staying by her side during miserable times. Anin then says she would never leave Pin. Meanwhile, the Prince tells Alisa he’s thinking of sending their daughter to study in England. However, the latter opposes the idea and says Anin is still young. Alisa then asks His Highness to wait till their daughter is older.

Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong sneak out of the palace

Princess Alisa shares with Anin that her father is planning to send her to study abroad like her brothers. Furthermore, Anin asks Pin to go to the annual night market with her after seeing Princess Patt has headed out. Despite refusing at first, the latter agrees to go with her. Later, Pin and Anin play games and enjoy their time together. Meanwhile, Patt returns home and learns her niece is not at home.

Furthermore, Patt scolds Pin for sneaking out of the palace at night. However, Anin says it was her fault. She then argues they didn’t do anything wrong except for not informing her. Anin says a child shouldn’t be locked up in the palace and should be accompanied by an adult to see the world outside. Although Patt agrees, she still punishes Pin and grounds her for a week. Anin says she’ll join her for the punishment and insists on staying at the Lotus Palace.

How does The Loyal Pin episode 1 end?

After the punishment, Anin asks Patt if she can stay at the Lotus Palace with Lady Pin. The former says the latter can help her prepare for examinations. Later, Anin tells Pin she just wants to spend the night with her when she goes without textbooks. In the room, the former finds the paper pinwheel she gave to the latter when they were kids. Anin also finds the handkerchief she gave to Pin when Patt scolded her.

Episode 1 of The Loyal Pin ends with Patt telling Pin that Anin will travel soon to study abroad.
