In the clip, she said: "A few months ago I laid the shower curtain liner under my peel and stick tiles and today I am removing them."

The tiles had started to chip away so she decided to take them off, starting with tape to hold them down.

The DIY whizz revealed that the tape had left no residue on the floor which meant she didn't have to get down and scrub it clean.

Next, she moved on to peeling off the floor tiles which could easily come off in one piece thanks to the shower liner underneath.

Because the closet door was in the way, she couldn't pull the whole thing up so she cut the tiles to get them off.

Shelby revealed she used Gorilla Glue to stick the shower liner to the tiles.

You can buy a shower liner for £1.75 in Ikea and she revealed it was perfect to ensure you didn't damage the floorboards underneath.

She added: "I think this might be the easiest removal process I have ever done with one of these renter friendly project."

The DIY pro also said that the technique meant there was no mould or moisture getting in between the tiles and affecting the floors underneath.

Shelby was so impressed by the method she revealed she would be using it on other floors in the home too.

The clip went viral on her TikTok account @itsmeshelbyturner with over 1 million views and 59k likes.

People were quick to thank her for sharing the 'genius' hack.

One person wrote: "Finally! A real renter friendly DIY."

Another commented: "How does this do when mopping? Doesn’t water get underneath? Curious because I love this idea."
