    VDOE to hold virtual conversation on proposed cell phone-free classrooms in Virginia

    PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) will hold a virtual Commonwealth Conversation on Monday to give the community an opportunity to discuss the proposed cell phone-free classrooms .

    VBCPS discusses cell phone policy day after governor issues executive order

    The virtual meeting will take place on Monday, Aug. 5 starting at 10:30 a.m., and will give parents, educators and community members the chance to share their thoughts about how best to achieve a cell phone-free classroom.

    Educators, parents weigh in on Virginia’s proposed cell-phone free classrooms

    During the meeting, individuals will also be able to discuss the impact of cell phone use on education and youth mental health.
