The appearances of Daenerys Targaryen, White Walkers, and the Night King in Daemon Targaryen’s visions in the House of the Dragon Season 2 finale have greatly puzzled fans. As such, they are wondering why Matt Smith’s character is seeing those figures in his visions. Moreover, fans are also curious about what Daemon’s visions in the finale mean and want to know whether the Three-Eyed Bloodraven is connected to Daemon and his sister Rhaenyra.

Here is an explanation of Daemon’s mysterious visions in the Season 2 finale. Find out whether the Three-Eyed Bloodraven is related to Daemon and Rhaenyra or not.

What does Daemon Targaryen’s vision mean in House of the Dragon Season 2 finale?

Daemon’s visions in the House of the Dragon Season 2 finale are connected to the prophecy of A Song of Ice and Fire. This prophecy revealed a future big threat to Westeros. It also revealed that a Targaryen was the key to uniting all realms of Westeros to stop this threat.

The visions experienced by Daemon came after he was asked by Alys Rivers to touch the Weirwood Tree in the godswood in Harrenhal. This happened after Rivers led him to the tree and told him about how there were omens available for those who came to seek them. Rivers then asked Daemon if he wanted to get clarity regarding his ominous visions.

In Daemon’s visions, he saw many things — the Night King and White Walkers walking through the forest, Rhaenyra sitting on the Iron Throne, and most importantly a shot of Daenerys Targaryen with three baby dragons – Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion, crawling around her as she sat on the ground.

The visions convinced Daemon that Rhaenyra had to claim the Iron Throne. This subsequently led to him pledging his loyalty to her and accepting her right to sit on the throne. He tells Rhaenyra that she was chosen by his brother Viserys I to be the leader who can unite all the realms against the big threat.

Moreover, Daenerys and her three dragons’ presence in the visions confirmed to Daemon that a Targaryen was crucial in fighting off the big threat to Westeros. The big threat in mention is the White Walkers, and Daemon believed that they could strike at any moment in the future.

Additionally, the presence of Daenerys and White Walkers in the same vision seemed to suggest that Daenerys is “The Prince That Was Promised,” as hinted by the Aegon’s dagger’s engraving. (via CBR )

Yes, the Three-Eyed Bloodraven, aka Brynden Rivers, is related to Daemon and Rhaenyra. He is their great-grandson.

Brynden Rivers played a very crucial role in Game of Thrones . In the show, he appeared in Bran Stark’s visions and helped shape his character arc. Moreover, he was also strongly connected to the Children of the Forest and the White Walkers. He ended up dying during the battle at the cave of the Three-Eyed Raven. However, he passed down his mantle to Bran Stark before his demise.

House of the Dragon Season 1 and 2 are currently streaming on HBO Max .
