Kamala Harris will officially announce the choice of her running mate on Tuesday morning, according to a CBS News report.

The pool of vice presidential contenders for Kamala Harris has narrowed to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz , according to Reuters .

Harris is expected to announce her choice of running mate on Tuesday ahead of their first rally together in Philadelphia, two people with knowledge of the plan told NBC News.

But those individuals still said the timing of the announcement may change based on when the vice president makes her final decision or if there’s a leak to the press.

The Tuesday announcement is set to emulate previous VP presentations, with online video and social media playing a part, in addition to a fundraising pitch.

Shapiro, Walz, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly all interviewed at Harris’s residence in Washington DC on Sunday, with the former astronaut muddying the waters somewhat by tweeting and then deleting a post in which he declared, “Now my mission is serving Arizonans,” seemingly suggesting he is no longer in contention.

Meanwhile, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was interviewed by streamer Adin Ross on Monday, telling him that he would “fire” the ABC News journalist who grilled him about his past comments during a panel at the National Association of Black Journalists convention on July 31.
