    This British Mystery Series Is The Top Show On Netflix Right Now

    “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” is currently the most popular show on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

    The British mystery series premiered on the streaming service on Aug. 1 with the release of all six episodes, which are about 45 minutes each. Based on a young adult novel by Holly Jackson, the show follows a teenage true crime enthusiast who decides to investigate a five-year-old murder in her sleepy English town.

    “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” was directed by Dolly Wells and stars Emma Myers, Zain Iqbal and Asha Banks.

    “Cowboy Cartel”

    “Cowboy Cartel” is the third most popular show on Apple TV+ at the moment.

    The four part docuseries also premiered on Aug. 1 and tells the wild story of multimillion dollar money laundering scheme involving U.S. horse racing and Mexican drug cartels.

    “Betrayal”

    The top show on Hulu right now is another true crime docuseries: “Betrayal: A Father’s Secret.”

    The three-part series began streaming on July 30 and dives into the shocking secrets of a Utah husband and father and what happened when his wife discovered the truth about his crimes. “A Father’s Secret” is the second season in the “Betrayal” series, which first premiered in July 2023 with “Betrayal: The Perfect Husband.”

    “In the Eye of the Storm”

    The Discovery show “In the Eye of the Storm” is currently trending on Max.

    Fittingly timed around the theatrical release of “Twisters” on July 19, the six-part limited series debuted on July 14 and focuses on epic natural disasters. “In the Eye of the Storm” features eyewitness accounts and footage from the inside of these harrowing weather events.

    “Batman: Caped Crusader”

    “Batman: Caped Crusader” premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Aug. 1 as well.

    Inspired by 1940s and 1950s Batman stories, this new animated series zeroes in on Bruce Wayne’s younger years as a crime-fighting vigilante. “Batman: Caped Crusader” features the voices of Hamish Linklater, Jason Watkins, Minnie Driver, Christina Ricci, Jamie Chung, Diedrich Bader and more.
