Love Island USA’s Aaron Evans ‘Disappointed’ Watching Himself Back

Love Island USA Season 6 may be over, but at least we have the upcoming reunion drama to look forward to before we say goodbye for good. OG Islanders Serena Page and Kordell Beckham ended up taking home the win during this season of the show. While fans couldn’t help but root for them throughout the ups and downs of their relationship, one fellow OG couple didn’t get the same response.

Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans were coupled up from Day One on Love Island USA. Their relationship was anything but easy – Kaylor cried almost every day for one reason or another. Meanwhile, Aaron seemed determined to threaten his relationship with Kaylor by behaving as badly as possible in Casa Amor. Now that the Islanders are out of the Villa and back in the real world, it hasn’t been so easy for everyone to relieve their time in Fiji.

Aaron understands his mistakes

Aaron and Kaylor appeared on the BFFs Podcast to discuss their relationship status. It hasn’t been easy for them to rewatch their experience on Love Island USA on TV.  “I was literally watching it like, ‘Who is this guy who can’t close his mouth? I just wanna jump through the screen and punch him in the face. He’s such an idiot,'” Aaron said. Literally, that was how most of us reacted while tuning into Season 6.

In general, Aaron understands why he’s received so much pushback from fans who watched the show in real time. “I was watching it like, ‘This is so bad. I’m the biggest d—head that has walked this planet. I was as disappointed as everyone else, trust me,'” Aaron continued.

Apparently, it hasn’t been easy for Kaylor to watch as well. While she’s still pursuing things with Aaron, she’s taking a step back on moving their relationship full speed ahead. However, Aaron is determined to do some grafting and win back Kaylor’s trust. “I understand why she’s got doubts, I understand why she’s got trust issues, I understand why all of America doesn’t like me because I don’t even like me, watching all the back, I hated watching [those] clips back,” Aaron continued. “So I completely understand how and why she feels the way she does.”

The Love Island USA reunion premieres on August 19 on Peacock.
