Blair Davenport explained why she helped Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn on Smackdown.

On last week’s episode, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill challenged Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Blair Davenport attacked Jade Cargill during the match, helping the duo retain their WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.

The three women also attacked Bianca Belair. They left the former champions lying in the ring, standing over them as a triumphant trio. It looks like they will team up going forward, forming a new faction to help take over the WWE Women’s Division.

It was not explained on TV why Blair Davenport helped the pair retain their titles. However, she gave an explanation backstage in a Smackdown Exclusive on YouTube.

After Smackdown, Blair Davenport joined Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn backstage for an interview with Byron Saxton. He asked her why she got involved with the match on Smackdown, to which Blair Davenport explained the history between her and her new teammates.

“You wanna know why? Well, let me tell you why, Byron. I caught Jade, Bianca, and Naomi all running their mouths about us backstage. They think they can do that to us and not have any repercussions. Well, they might be little good buddies or whatever they are, but the one thing we have that they don’t is history. All the way back to NXT UK, all the way back to Japan, all over the UK wrestling scene. We’ve known each other for a very long time. And history means more than whatever fake friendship they’re trying to build right now.”
