2024 Fantasy football draft prep is underway and one of the biggest keys every season is understanding when runs will occur at each position. Waiting on a quarterback has been a popular Fantasy football draft strategy in recent years and, in 2023, the difference between the QB8 (Patrick Mahomes) and QB13 (Trevor Lawrence) was only about 30 points in CBS Sports PPR leagues. Should you wait on quarterbacks with your 2024 Fantasy football picks and potentially even stream the position while building a talented stable of running backs, wide receivers and tight ends?

A reliable set of 2024 Fantasy football rankings can help you make informed decisions at every position and build a roster capable of competing for a championship. Quality Fantasy football rankings 2024 can also help you prepare for major positional runs and make sure you aren't left out in the cold with a hole in your 2024 Fantasy football lineups. If you're looking for 2024 Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice and the latest Fantasy football tiers.

Top 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football QB picks:

    1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: First, first, second, first -- that's where Allen has ranked in positional Fantasy points over each of the last four seasons. Now with a new cast of receivers surrounding him, Buffalo seems content putting even more of its offense on Allen's arm and legs, which means 2024 could be his best Fantasy season yet.

    2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: Hurts regressed in many people's eyes last year but still finished with the second-most Fantasy points amongst quarterbacks. He set career highs in passing yards, passing TDs and rushing TDs in his "down" year, and it's his ability on the ground which gives him a high Fantasy floor. With 15 rushing scores a year ago, Hurts is the only QB in NFL history with three straight seasons of 10-plus rushing touchdowns.

    3. Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs: Kansas City pass catchers led the NFL in drops (44) last year, while having the second-lowest average depth of target (6.2) in the league. Even with arguably the worst group of WRs in the league, Mahomes led the NFL in pass attempts per game. So, one can only imagine what that type of volume could lead to in 2024 after the team upgraded its wide receivers room with first-round rookie Xavier Worthy and free agent signee Marquise Brown. Top 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football RB picks:

    1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: In the four healthy seasons that he's played since earning his way into the starting lineup with Carolina in 2018, McCaffrey has averaged 2,065 scrimmage yards and 15.5 touchdowns per year. The only thing that has kept him from being a dominant force in Fantasy football has been his health and he's only missed one game the last two seasons with the 49ers choosing to rest starters in Week 18 last season.

    2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Hall was having a sensational rookie season before a season-ending ACL injury in the middle of the year but he was able to make a full recovery for the 2023 season. Despite facing loaded boxes, he produced 1,585 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns. Now he should benefit running against softer boxes with Aaron Rodgers returning to action in 2024.

    3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: The Giants elected not to re-sign their franchise running back this offseason and Barkley made them pay by signing within the division. Now he'll run behind the best offensive line he's ever played with and will be surrounded by skill-position talent that pulls focus. See more top RBs here .

Top 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football WR picks:

    1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: He's four years into his career and he's eclipsed his previous seasons receiving numbers (receptions, yards and touchdowns) in every year. That culminated in a monster 2023 season with 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns and he also added 113 yards and two scores as a rusher. He dominates target share in an aggressive passing offense and he'll be a worthwhile first-round pick in 2024.

    2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Hill spent six seasons in Kansas City and played with arguably the greatest quarterback of this generation in Patrick Mahomes. However, he erased any fears that his production was Mahomes-related by putting up 1,700 yards or more in each of his two seasons in Miami. He led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving touchdowns (13) last season and he'll be a gigantic part of Mike McDaniel's offense.

    3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: He can name every single wide receiver who was selected before him after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft and he plays with that chip on his shoulder. He played through multiple injuries last season and still managed 119 catches for 1,515 yards and 10 touchdowns and the Detroit offense certainly looks like one that will continue to produce in 2024. Top 2024 Fantasy football TE rankings

Here's a look at SportsLine's top three 2024 Fantasy football TE picks:

    1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: Kelce's run of seven straight seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards came to an end in 2023, but the future Hall of Famer was still among the most productive fantasy tight ends in the league. The 34-year-old caught 93 passes for 984 yards and five touchdowns last season, which was a step back for him, but still enough for him to be a top-three tight end when it was all said and done. Of all the tight ends in the NFL, Kelce is in arguably the best situation from both schematic and quarterback perspectives.

    2. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: LaPorta burst onto the fantasy football scene as a rookie in 2023, catching 86 passes for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns. Year two should bring more familiarity with the Lions' system and quarterback Jared Goff for LaPorta. The former Iowa standout also has the benefit of playing in an offense that features playmakers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs, who will attract plenty of attention from opposing defenses.

    3. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: Andrews was on pace to have one of the best years of his career in 2023 before an ankle injury ended his season prematurely. In 10 games, the former Oklahoma standout caught 45 passes for 544 yards and six touchdowns. Andrews is set to enter the 2024 season completely healthy and will be looking to reclaim his status as the No. 1 target for reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. See more top TEs here .
