    Brenda Workman, Plant-Based Diet Speaker, to appear at State Fair of West Virginia Aug. 14

    Fairlea, WVa. (WVDN) – Brenda Workman, licensed Food for Life Instructor and Motivational Speaker, will be at the State Fair of West Virginia on Wednesday, August 14 th , to present two plant-based diet and cooking demonstrations. The first will begin at 10:00 a.m., and the second will start at 2:00 p.m. The presentations will be held on stage in the West Virginia Building and are free of charge.

    Plant-based diets have many health benefits. First, they have been found to help lower the risk of heart disease, improve cholesterol, and lower blood pressure. Studies have also shown that they can help prevent, manage, and reverse type 2 diabetes. And, they can improve the digestive system, help with weight loss, and may lower the risk of developing certain types of cancer.

    Workman, who is a professional plant-based diet speaker from Princeton, West Virginia, has been featured on the Today Show’s fitness and diet segment, and she is a popular speaker at regional conferences, wellness events, and professional development meetings.
