On Monday (August 5), gymnastics stars Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles kicked off the week by medaling on the floor. Chiles earned bronze, her first Olympic medal, while Biles earned silver.
Other Black athletes from Team USA found success in Paris last week including track and field stars Noah Lyles , who won gold in a photo finish during the men's 100-meter dash, and Sha'Carri Richardson , who earned silver in the women's 100m.
Biles took home the gold last week in the individual all-around final , vault, and team final with her Team USA teammates.
Team USA's basketball team also claimed victories against South Sudan and Puerto Rico.

Chiaka Ogbogu , Avery Skinner , Jordan Thompson , and Haleigh Washington will star on Team USA's Women's Volleyball team, competing in the quarterfinals against Poland on Tuesday (August 6) at 11:00 a.m. ET.
