UFC 308 will be headlined by the featherweight main event pitting newly-crowned champion Ilia Topuria in his first 145-pound title defense against former division titleholder Max Holloway.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was back in the Arabian Gulf this afternoon (Sat., Aug. 3, 2024) with UFC Abu Dhabi on ABC. The mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which took place inside Etihad Arena — a.k.a. “Fight Island” — in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, streamed LIVE on ABC and ESPN+. The main event was a Bantamweight title eliminator with Cory Sandhagen meeting the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov. The co-main did not feature Nick Diaz because of “travel issues.” His bout with Vicente Luque was scrapped, but in its place we had Shara Magomedov fighting Michal Oleksiejczuk.
