50 Cent Takes Victory Lap After Winning $1 Billion ‘Power’ Lawsuit

50 Cent is taking a victory lap after winning $1 billion in a Power lawsuit. The suit was brought forward by Cory Ghost Holland Sr., former drug kingpin, accusing Fif of ripping off his life story to create the hit TV series. The Queens emcee took to Instagram, where he shared a screenshot of the story and joked about Holland. “Fool thought he was Ghost. da f**k wrong wit these [ninja emoji]’s man LOL,” he typed in the caption.

According to AllHipHop , on Saturday (Aug. 3), Judge Analisa Torres ruled in favor of 50 Cent, né, Curtis Jackson, stating that the show never directly references Holland. Judge Torres dismissed Holland’s three suits previously filed against the mogul 2021.

The suits claimed Jackson developed the show’s narrative based on information Holland shared in an album he released titled Blasphemy — a CD that he claimed he gave to co-producer Courtney Kemp’s father in 2007 to depart from drug trafficking officially.

The man known as Ghost also sued Fif for allegedly attempting to intimidate him twice. Holland claims Fif pulled up to his neighborhood looking for him. The other incident allegedly found 50 Cent blasting “threatening” music outside of his house — which Holand claimed to be a message directed at him.

Additionally, Holland issued Lionsgate and Starz a $300 million suit, accusing them of not monitoring and checking Fif’s Power series for stealing his life story.

Things came to a head when Holland retaliated to 50 Cent’s “intimidation” tactics. He penned a letter vowing to kill 50 Cent or anyone close to his camp the next time they try to punk him.

“If a muthaf**ka gets killed because your muthaf**ka client threaten me and my family, file a muthaf**ka motion for that,” Holland declared in his letter obtained by AllHipHop . “I ain’t playing with your muthaf**ka client no more, next time he or anyone he sends pull up, f**k the litigation.”

“This is not one of those lawsuits from a deranged fan or somebody trying to capitalize off someone else’s success,” said Holland in detail, talking about his lawsuits. “This is about the actual theft of my life, and the damages that it has done as well as the profits that the defendants have made from the stealing and telling of my life story without my consent.”

Joanna Hill, 50 Cent’s lawyer, responded to Holland’s lawsuit, claiming Ghost “fails to state any claim upon which relief can be granted. More specifically, [Holland] fails to identify any defamatory statements made about him in connection with the fictional television series Power .”
