    Top destination for dogs is in Northeast Ohio

    (WJW) – For families who travel with their four-foots, it can be challenging to find stops that are pet-friendly.

    Lifestyle site BestLife.com went to the experts for top destinations for people and their canine companions.

    Northeast Ohio park named among most popular ‘hidden gems’ in country

    The number 1 spot is in Northeast Ohio.

    Cuyahoga Valley National Park is at the top of the list.

    Leashed dogs are welcome on all park trails.

    Aside from the incredible forest views and sprawling landscapes, there’s another big reason Cuyahoga Valley National Park made the list.

    “There’s also, compared to many of our national parks, a refreshing lack of creatures and critters that might do harm to you and your dog. Sure, they are there, but for example, there have been no venomous snakes found at the park,” Erika Barnes, founder and CEO of Pet Smitten, told Best Life.
