A picture is worth a thousand words is one of the most famous idioms in history. It also is one of the realest.

The final day of gymnastics at the 2024 Olympics brought out all sorts of drama, especially in the floor routine event. In the end, it was Brazil's Rebeca Andrade holding the gold medal for the floor, with the USA duo of Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles grabbing silver and bronze.

Chiles finished third thanks to a late inquiry that changed her score , moving her past Romania's Ana Barbosu to win her first-ever Olympic individual medal. It created one of the best clips of the Olympics so far and a memory she'll never forget.

But arguably the best moment of the competition came on the podium. With the trio standing with their well-earned medals in hand, Biles and Chiles made sure to give Andrade the credit she was due by saluting her in a fashion rarely seen on the Olympic stage.

Here is more on the viral podium moment featuring Andrade, Biles, and Chiles.

Stepping onto the podium with a freshly won Olympic medal is a moment athletes will never forget. Biles and Chiles made the moment a little extra special for Andrade.

After the American duo each received a rowdy round of applause from the crowd at Bercy Arena in Paris, it was Andrade's time to shine. The win was the first gold medal for the Brazilian in 2024, capping off an exceptional Olympics that saw Andrade win four medals total.

Rather than stand and watch Andrade step up and take her rightful spot at the top of the podium, the pair of USA teammates elected to turn and bow down to the gold medalist, giving her a proper nod of recognition.

Why did the pair of American athletes bow down to Andrade? As Biles put it, it was "the right thing to do."

As one would expect, the picture is going viral, making the rounds on social media. It's about as perfect of a way for the gymnastics events to end in Paris.
