The Real Housewives of Orange County star Megan Knickerbocker’s boyfriend Rick Brannon has died after suffering from "heart and kidney failure and blood clots."

The former reality star, who was famously known as Tammy Knickerbocker’s daughter from the show, has opened up about grieving the loss of her partner after he unexpectedly passed away in early May. Since his tragic death, Megan has opened up about her "all consuming" regret and anger and how difficult it has been for to let go of all of the future plans they shared together.

In a heartbreaking tribute to her late boyfriend and father of her two sons, Megan shared a sweet snap on Instagram cozied up and smiling with Rick. She captioned the post: "I still can't believe you are gone...The events that lead up to it just don't seem right as they replay over and over again in my head. The regret and anger is completely consuming...I don't think I have fully accepted it yet, and honestly don't think I ever will."

She continued: "This was not supposed to be our ending, we had plans, plans that no one will ever know and that we will never see. Life isn't fare and I will never be the same...I miss you so much."

This comes as Rick passed away on May 10 after being hospitalized with pneumonia. After being rushed to Providence Mission Hospital, Rick coded twice and intubated. According to Rick's GoFundMe page , doctors confirmed that he was in heart failure, kidney failure and had blood clots in the left side of his heart.

After the news broke friends, family, and fans took to the GoFundMe donating funds to support Rick and his medical bills as he was uninsured at the time of his health battle. In a devastating update from his family, they confirmed that Rick had passed away and shared a warm thank you to everyone that supported him and attended his celebration of life.

On June 7, the page's organizer Kathleen Lowell wrote: "I just wanted to thank everyone who donated and came out to celebrate Rick last weekend! The celebration of life we planned was beautiful. Friends, family and loved ones all sharing stories (it meant a lot to his family especially and his kids)," and added: "Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! Rick was an amazing human, carefree spirit and had such a zest for life! He will be truly missed by everyone."

She added that all of the money raised - which was a total of $11,480 - went directly to any uncovered medical expenses from Rick's time in the hospital, towards his funeral, and all of the leftover money went to his two children.
