Where Is Kelly Ripa? ‘Live’ Co-Host Missing From Today’s Episode

One of Live with Kelly and Mark ‘s signature faces was missing from this morning’s episode.

Instead of his wife and other half Kelly Ripa , Mark Consuelos was joined by Live ‘s announcer Deja Vu at the co-host desk. After they walked out, viewers at home were met with the words “previously recorded” on their screen.

Production executive Art Moore, who announced his upcoming retirement from ABC back in May, took Deja’s spot at the show’s Sun-sational Travel Trivia wheel, prompting a contestant to compete for a trip to Cancún.

Prior to sitting down with Evil star Mike Colter , Consuelos told viewers that Jane Krakowski will be co-hosting with him on Tuesday morning’s (Aug. 6) episode, where they will speak with guest Wayne Brady .

While Ripa may not have been in the studio on Monday, she took to Instagram on Sunday (Aug. 4) to honor executive producer Michael Gelman’s birthday, sharing a picture from a cold plunge that he and Consuelos took together on the air in July 2023.

“Happy birthday to the nippliest exec producer of all time!” Ripa captioned her post.

Consuelos did not mention where his wife and co-host was during Monday’s show, but acknowledged Ripa’s absence while introducing Deja.

“Good morning,” he began. “Monday, Aug. 5, 2024. And filling in for Kelly today is Deja Vu.”

The show’s official Instagram page shared photos from this morning’s episode, as well, also noting that Deja “filled in for Kelly today.”

In other news, Ripa is being honored as a Disney Legend this weekend at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Others receiving the honor at this year’s ceremony include Angela Bassett , James Cameron , Miley Cyrus and Harrison Ford .
