Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a foster-based rescue in Massachusetts, has recently introduced an adorable dog named Sushi who is looking for her forever home. Sushi is a 2-3 year-old, 49lb American bully with a friendly demeanor and a love for people. According to Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., "Sushi is friendly with all people she meets! She is fostered with a high energy smaller dog and a cat, and is doing well with both (mostly ignores them—she’s more focused on her people!)."

Sushi's current foster home has observed that she is a happy and affectionate girl who enjoys carrying around chew bones and stuffed toys. She is potty trained, provided she is allowed to go outside shortly after indicating she needs to. "She does well with a couple of stairs in and out of her foster home but isn’t great with full flights of stairs, or getting up on furniture," they explain.

Like many bully breeds, Sushi has some skin allergies and is receiving medicated baths 1-2 times per week to manage her itchiness. Despite her challenges, Sushi's resilience shines through. Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. explains that "Sushi was sadly dumped at the shelter with her baby Egg Roll. She was underweight, hairless, and clearly unloved" Yet, she has shown remarkable recovery and is now ready to find her "pawrents" who will give her the love and care she deserves.

Sandy Paws Rescue Inc. requires that anyone interested in adopting must submit an application to them. As a foster-based rescue based in Massachusetts, they don’t have a shelter location, and visits with dogs are by appointment only. Their dogs reside in private homes or kennels until adoption.
