A KROGER shopper was fuming after the store's failure to timely refund her left her without a working phone.

The customer called out the grocery chain online to express frustration over how the refund issue disrupted her budget.

The Kroger shopper explained the situation in an X post from July 31.

She noted that since July 18, she had been waiting for a refund from Kroger on an order that she placed on July 12.

The shopper complained that she accounted for the refunded money in her budget and couldn't pay her phone bill due to the store's delay in processing her refund.

Her phone was consequently shut off.

"I still haven't received my refund," she said. "I am livid that this is happening."

Kroger promptly responded to the situation and apologized for the delayed refund, thanking the shopper for bringing it to the store's attention.

I've been waiting on a refund since JULY 18th from an order JULY 12th. Due to budgeting to have that money and not having it my phone has been shut off. I still haven't received my refund. I am livid that this is happening."

The grocer promised to address the issue and asked if the shopper had already called customer service.

The Kroger customer has not yet replied to Kroger's comment.

    PROTESTED PAYMENT

It wasn't the first time Kroger shoppers have run into payment issues with the grocery chain.

In another instance, a customer was charged five times what she was supposed to pay at the gas pump.

Despite purchasing just $33.05 in gas, the shopper claimed Kroger placed a pending charge of $150.50 on her debit card.

"Why did you just put a pending charge on my debit card for over 5 TIMES the amount I paid for gas!?!?!?!?!?!?!" fumed the customer.

She was especially angry considering it wasn't the first time it had happened to her.

The shopper noted the same thing happened last year and she was told the correct amount would be charged in a few days.

"Last year, this locked my debit card because my account didn't have $150 to use," she said.

The customer was unable to purchase groceries until the charge was processed correctly.

"Luckily this time my card didn't lock," she said. "But WTF???? 5X THE AMOUNT??? WHY????????????"

Other Kroger customers have similarly blasted the grocer online for payment problems.

One shopper was overcharged $52 and claimed the cashier's "rude" solution was "ridiculous."

Another Kroger customer warned others of an app change that "overcharged" her $77.71.
