Lisa Leslie Fires Back at Draymond Green Over 'Dream Team' Comments

Draymond Green recently rehashed a long-standing debate, stating this year's Olympic men's basketball team is better than the legendary "Dream Team" that won gold at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

"This 2024 team are definitely drawing those comparisons to the Dream Team, and quite frankly, I'm taking the 2024 team seven days a week," Green said. "I think the 2024 team beats the Dream Team five out of seven games. Got to give the Dream Team some respect, they got GOATs, we get it. They got Hall of Famers, we get it. I just think the versatility on that team, the star power, the scoring, I don't think the Dream Team can do anything with that."

Olympic basketball legend Lisa Leslie firmly disagrees with this take from Green. In fact, the all-time leading scorer in American Olympic history took to social media with a lengthy video message for the Golden State Warriors forward on Monday.

Leslie argues that this year's team relies too heavily on being "rescued" by an aging LeBron James. She gave credit to players like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry, but ultimately feels the "Dream Team" would have too much talent to overcome.

"@Money23Green Come on now!!!! @espn stop the madness! DREAM TEAM ALL DAY!!!" Leslie wrote as the caption.

Leslie is the all-time leading scorer in American Olympic basketball history. Durant is six points away from passing her record.

"Well let me start to congratulate @KDTrey5 as he gets ready to break one of my Olympic records! The Slim Reaper!! One of my all time favorites!" Leslie wrote in a separate post on X.

Draymond Green must be on some type of drug because there's not a USA team now r any NBA team that could beat the 92 Dream Team
