Nicola Coughlan , the 37-year-old actress famed for her roles in 'Derry Girls' and 'Bridgerton', has expressed her preference for working with women over men .
She gained global recognition playing Penelope Featherington in Netflix's period drama 'Bridgerton' - despite claims she's tipped to leave her role on the show - and has since starred alongside big names like Margot Robbie, America Ferrera, and Kate McKinnon in 'Barbie'.
Speaking at a post-screening panel for her new sitcom Big Mood, she said: "I really have worked with a lot of women. Derry Girls was predominantly women. Bridgerton, predominantly women. I think women just get my vibe. I'm a girls' girl. I'm like, 'Yay, let me work with you' .
She humorously added that she had "very bravely" worked with some men recently, but found it to be a "different experience".

She said: "I worked with men recently, actually. I am someone who has worked with men. It's very brave of me to say, but I have. But it is a different experience and it's lovely. It's just different. It's not as lovely as working with women."
Nicola could well be set to work with more men on set, with a turn as a Bond girl thought to be on the cards for the star , as well as a role in Disney hit Pirates of the Caribbean .
Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently confirmed Disney are planning to "reboot" the movie, with a whole new cast. This could be fantastic news for Coughlan, who is 6/4 favourite to appear in one as her next big movie role.
Film franchises don't get much bigger than James Bond, though, and she is just 7/4 to appear alongside 007 as the next movie's leading lady, or "Bond Girl," as the fading term is still just about known.
