The first thing that comes to mind when you think of Popeyes might be the fast food chain's savory favorites, like their classic chicken sandwiches or super-popular wings. But the restaurant's desserts are another reason why Popeyes has so many loyal customers, and now fried chicken lovers have two new sweet offerings to choose from.
On August 5, food blogger Snackolator posted via Instagram about Popeyes' latest menu additions, and fans can't wait to try them out.
"Popeye's just dropped TWO new desserts today and I'm going to need both immediately!" Snackolator wrote in the caption.
"Starting today you can get the new Chocolate Chip Biscuit which takes their classic biscuit and blends in chocolate chips with a drizzle of icing on top like the strawberry biscuit. And then the Apple Caramel Cheesecake which blends a caramel apple filling into their cheesecake which is baked into a classic graham cracker crust."
If the comments on Snackolator's post are any indication, these tempting treats are destined to be big sellers.
"Oh, these are MUST gets 😋," wrote one person.
"Omg *faints*," wrote a second Popeyes fan.

In their review of both items, Delish raved about the Chocolate Chip Biscuit's "cozy and savory flavor," noting that it was " just sweet enough to feel like a dessert without getting a massive sugar spike."
However, while testers "universally loved" the texture of the cheesecake, calling it "rich and decadent without being overly set or stiff," they were "unanimously meh about the graham cracker crust."
Of course, the only way to be sure about which dessert is better is to try both!
Just last year, Popeyes upped their dessert game with a sweet addition to its mostly savory lineup, debuting its new Oreo Cheesecake Cup for a limited time, adding to the current Strawberry Biscuit–which has been added to the permanent menu.
