Stephen Curry Reveals 'Challenge' of Playing for Star-Studded Team USA

Stephen Curry still hasn't quite found his footing with Team USA.

Still, as the Olympic knockout stage looms in Paris, the Golden State Warriors superstar knows the "challenge" of playing for the Americans is also what makes them a prohibitive favorite to take home gold.

"That's how we can overwhelm teams. It's just everybody has to be ready for your moment whenever it is," Curry said on Monday, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

"I think that's a challenge because you don't know from quarter to quarter from game to game who it's going to be, [but] it's a fun way to play. If you're bought into 'Let's just win the basketball game' and after that, who cares what it looks like."

Curry struggled relative to expectations as Team USA went a perfect 3-0 in Group C action, earning the No. 1 seed in the medal stage.

He combined for just 22 points on 25 shots in the Americans' impressive wins over Serbia, South Sudan and Puerto Rico, hardly compensating for that lagging efficiency on the other side of the ball.

Needless to say, Curry's confidence isn't wavering entering Team USA's quarterfinal matchup with Brazil on Tuesday. The best shooter ever is fully aware his personal floodgates can open at any time, a possibility made both more complicated and easier by the presence of teammates like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and more.
