A Warp Goes Wrong In ‘The Ark’ Exclusive Clip, Landing James Brice Lost In Time

Just weeks into Season 2 of The Ark , the show is already jumping through time.

Taking place 100 years in the future, The Ark follows the the Ark One crew as they embark on planetary colonizing missions to ensure the survival of the human race. In a new, exclusive clip from the upcoming episode shared with DECIDER, a wild, unexplained shift occurs on the ship in the blink of an eye.

“Alright, we ready?” James Brice (Richard Fleeshman) asks as Eva Markovic (Tiana Upcheva) replies, “Almost.”

“How we looking?” Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) asks as Brice responds, “Good timing, we’re just about to drop out a warp.”

“Because we’re doing it manually, we have to be precise,” Markovic explains while Spencer Lane (Reece Ritchie) promises, “I’ll watch for visual confirmation.”

“Here we go,” Brice says.

“Dropping out a warp in 3..2..” Markovic counts down before flipping the switch.

While nothing seems immediately urgent, it is clear there is a problem, as the crew holds their breath while Lane and Garnet discuss possible damage of the ship’s cameras.

“I don’t think so, mate, we couldn’t have wished for a smoother transition,” Brice says. But suddenly, the world shifts through his eyes.

“What just happened?” Brice asks, alarmed. “Eva, what’s going on? Where did Garnet and Lane just go?”

It becomes clear to viewers at this point that Brice has lost his clothes in the sudden warp between worlds. Eva, looking terrified the closer Brice comes to her, punches him hard across the face, which comes as an unexpected and sudden move to Brice from someone he assumes is his girlfriend.

“I was just protecting myself sir,” Eva says to Sasha Novak as he walks in, questioning the situation. “This naked man showed up here out of no where.”

While Brice recognizes his crew, it is clear they do not recognize him, treating him as an intruder they have never seen before. Brice is forced to think quickly as the situation escalates and Sash calls security.

When he realizes what’s going on, Brice punches Sash and runs out of the control room.

Has a new dimensions been discovered? Did everyone suddenly have their memories wiped as they dropped the warp? Does Brice still exist in in his former world? Fans will have to tune in to this week’s episode to find out.
