“Yikes @peninsulaparis I’ve been denied access to rooftop to eat in a empty restaurant of nicer places … but never with my kids,” Williams wrote. “Always a first.”

Williams arrived in Paris at the end of July before participating as a torch bearer at the Olympic opening ceremony.

The retired tennis champion, who bid farewell to professional tennis after the 2022 U.S. Open, joined other notable athletes such as Carl Lewis, Zinedine Zidane, Teddy Riner, Marie-José Pérec, Tony Parker, and Rafael Nadal in carrying the torch. Remaining in Paris for the Olympics, she attended various tennis matches, including Novak Djokovic’s victory over Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s singles final.

Throughout her career, Williams secured four Olympic gold medals. She clinched one in the women’s singles event at the 2012 London games, while the remaining three were attained in the women’s doubles alongside her sister, Venus Williams. The duo emerged victorious at the Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008, and London 2012 Olympics.
