CM Punk is not done with Drew McIntyre .

Punk had been out of action due to a torn triceps since the Royal Rumble, but he returned to the ring at WWE SummerSlam. There, he faced Drew McIntyre in a match where Seth Rollins was the special referee. McIntyre scored the win, as Punk got distracted by Rollins.

On the August 5 episode of WWE RAW, CM Punk came to the ring and made it clear that he was happy because he was back. He said that he was told that he would be out for nine months, and he returned in five.

Punk stated that his road to WrestleMania began at WWE SummerSlam. He then said that he wanted a rematch with McIntyre, as he was still standing, and he still had breath in his lungs. Instead, Seth Rollins answered and said that it was finally time for him to put Punk in the dirt. They were about to come to blows when McIntyre interrupted.

Drew McIntyre said that it was a night for celebration, as the WWE Universe was talking about their match. He gave Punk credit, saying he proved that he could still go. McIntyre then told Punk that he was the best in the world now, not Punk.

To add insult to injury, McIntyre brought out Punk’s beloved bracelet and named his “lovely wife AJ.” Punk charged into the crowd to chase after McIntyre.

Meanwhile, Bronson Reed viciously attacked Rollins and left him lying with multiple Tsunami splashes.
