Clearly hot but rain chances unclear from Debby

(WOWK) — Temperatures soared once again on Monday (August 5) and the drought continued its grip on the region. Tropical Storm Debby has dropped tremendous amounts of rain in the last two days in the southeastern U.S.
The question for the WOWK-TV area remains whether or not we will see appreciable rain any time in the coming week.
Debby is expected to weaken into a tropical depression over the coming days, but is still very capable of making tremendous amounts of rain.
Some models do allow rain to press into the area late week from Debby with the higher amounts of rainfall being seen on Friday and Saturday, especially in the eastern part of West Virginia.
The official NWS Weather Prediction Center forecast for 7 day rainfall totals as of Monday August 5th shows barely any rain in the 13 News area but a good inch or two in parched areas of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
As of now, the StormTracker 13 meteorologists have a chance of showers that may actually dampen things set for late Friday into Saturday.
With such a large storm, a small shift in patterns over the next few days could mean a decent change in forecast so stay with StormTracker 13 for more and get the StormTracker 13 app which you can find for free at the link directly below.
