South Korean legendary K-pop group g.o.d will perform on JYP’s 30th Anniversary program on September 16 at KBS2TV. The KBS Grand Project—30th Anniversary Special ‘Entertainer JYP’ show will start at 8.30 p.m. KST (7.30 a.m. ET) and end at 11 p.m. KST.

KBS has also revealed that the shooting for g.o.d’s special performance will be held on August 30, 2024, at 7 p.m. KST, 6 a.m. ET, and 11 a.m. BST. The network teases that more artists will be revealed in the program’s lineup later.

Among the first generations of K-pop groups who solidified the genre in the domestic and international market, g.o.d remains a crucial name. The boy group debuted in 1999 with five members: Park Joon-Hyung, Yoon Kye-Sang, Danny Ahn, Son Ho-Young, and Kim Tae-Woo.

In the pre-digitalization of the music era, g.o.d showed immense popularity in South Korea by producing multiple albums that reached over a million units in sales within a week of its release. Along with their incredible album sales, listeners regard some of their singles as the most evergreen tracks of K-pop.

The group’s relationship with JYP goes back two decades. After their initial contract with music agency SidusHQ expired, the group switched to JYP Entertainment in 2004. JYP founder Park Jin Young has written some of the group’s best songs, including “Love and Remember,” “Sorrow,” “Lies,” “One Candle,” and “Road.”
