Charles Barkley Gets Honest On Relationship With Shaq On TNT

Charles Barkley is the clear star of TNT's Emmy Award-winning show "Inside the NBA." But Shaq has seemingly been the perfect foil opposite Chuck on the program.

With TNT's NBA coverage soon coming to an end, Barkley and the "Inside the NBA" crew are heading into their swan song season. Barkley, in particular, has been on quite a media tour of late.

The 61-year-old appeared on Monday's episode of "Podcast P with Paul George." The Philadelphia 76ers wing asked Barkley to share Shaq's wildest idea for a stunt that never made it to the show. While the Chuckster couldn't think of one on the spot, he made sure to show love for his longtime TNT co-host (39:26 mark).

“ He's been a great addition," said Barkley of Shaq. "He's a fun dude. He's fun to mess with. I love messing with him. He's a big old softy. He's very sensitive. I love messing with him and when I get him riled up, it is one of the highlights of my damn night. I love it.”

Shaq, once considered the newcomer of the group, has now been on the "Inside the NBA" panel for more than half of Barkley's time on the program .

The Hall of Famer hasn't been afraid to get sentimental about the show he's called home for a quarter of a century. On the same episode, Barkley shared what he found most painful about the show nearing its end.
