Alison Sweeney Returns to DAYS!

Sami’s back! That’s right, Alison Sweeney is returning to Days of Our Lives again as the notorious Sami Brady ! Unfortunately, while she’s back filming now, because of the soap’s advanced production schedule, she won’t actually start appearing on screen until 2025!

“I was thrilled to be invited to return,” Sweeney told TV Insider . “I love playing Sami and I am always happy for the chance to come back. We always have to figure out scheduling and such, but if at all possible, I’m so glad to make it happen.”

Sweeney joined the cast of DAYS back in 1993 and played Sami until her 2014 exit, earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2015. But the actress has returned numerous times in the years since, for the soap’s 50th anniversary in 2015, for Will’s return from the dead in 2017, and again in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Sami’s last trip to Salem was in 2022, and she left town in a huff, leaving Lucas at the altar upon finding out he’d had her kidnapped so he could play hero, then trying to go back to EJ only to find him in bed with Belle!
