No one had a better view of Mondo Duplantis’ pole vault triumph Monday at the 2024 Paris Games than his girlfriend, Swedish model Desire Inglander.

Shortly after Duplantis’ gold medal-winning performance in the pole vault final at Stade de France — where he also set a world record with a 6.25-meter jump — Inglader recapped the jubilant night in a new video shared on her social media accounts.

The clip opens with Inglander covering her mouth as she watches Duplantis from the stands.

Upon clearing the bar, the 24-year-old Olympian ran to the content creator, 22, sealing the victory with a kiss.

“6.25 world record and Olympic champion,” Inglader posted in an Instagram Story on Monday. “Forever your biggest fan.”

Duplantis, who broke the 6.24m record he set in April at the Xiamen Diamond League, said afterward he still hadn’t “processed how fantastic that moment was.”

“It’s one of those things that don’t really feel real, such an out-of-body experience. It’s still hard to kind of land right now,” said Duplantis , who punched one of his teammates during the celebrations.

“What can I say? I just broke a world record at the Olympics, the biggest possible stage for a pole vaulter. [My] biggest dream since a kid was to break the world record at the Olympics, and I’ve been able to do that in front of the most ridiculous crowd I’ve ever competed in front of.”

Duplantis made his Olympics debut at the Tokyo Games three years ago and won gold in the pole vault.

In the weeks leading up to the Games, Dulpantis and Inglander were profiled together in Vogue Scandinavia , where they spoke about the early days of their relationship.

“I had just graduated high school,” she recalled. “And I was in the mood of, ‘I’m going to do my own thing, nobody can stop me.'”

While attending a Midsummer party in Stockholm in 2020, Duplantis — the son of an American pole vaulter and a Swedish athlete — crossed paths with Inglander.

“The problem was, people flirt in a very different way in Sweden than where I’m from,” said Dulplantis, who was born in Louisiana. “[Where I’m from] there’s a lot more talking – you talk for a long time. So at the party, I was just trying to talk to Desiré, like ‘Hey, what’s up, I’m Mondo…’ but she didn’t want anything to do with it or me. She just wanted to dance.”

Inglander has continued to support Duplantis at various events, sharing footage of his shining moments — including Monday’s — with her legions of social media followers.
