Cape Cod's One-Stop-Shop for Unique Finds "The 70th Annual Auction and Bazaar" Returns

Get ready for a beloved Cape Cod tradition that has been delighting shoppers and supporting the community for seven decades. The Dennis Union Church Auction & Bazaar returns for its 70th annual event, promising a day filled with exceptional bargains, fun activities, and a strong sense of community spirit.

Taking place on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 9 am until 2 pm, this much-anticipated event will be held in and around the Dennis Union Church at the corner of Old Bass River Road and Route 6A in Dennis, Massachusetts. Thousands of shoppers from all over the northeast are expected to come to this event, excited to explore the diverse array of treasures collected from donors throughout the year.

"On the second Saturday of August each year, thousands of shoppers from all over the northeast flock to the Dennis Union Church Auction & Bazaar," explains the event website. "This annual event features a live Auction and dozens of tables filled with treasures collected from donors throughout the year. We look forward to seeing everyone for this year’s Auction on August 10, 2023, for our 70th annual event."

Visitors can expect to find "arguably, the largest array of quality bargains in one place, at one time on Cape Cod." The event will feature antiques and collectibles, bikes for adults and children, popular and collectible books, boutique items including fine china, crystal, and silverware, jewelry, linens, bedding, carpets, holiday decorations, toys, games, puzzles, small appliances, kitchenware, hundreds of lamps and wicker baskets, framed artwork, recordings, two truckloads of furniture, sports and fishing equipment, garden tools, power and hand tools, and a country store filled with homemade pies, jams, and more.

"A variety of charitable organizations benefit directly or indirectly from this event. Proceeds also go into the Church’s general fund to support its mission and outreach programs," explains the event information on the Church's website. In addition to the live auction, there will also be a silent auction that will be live for online bidding from Friday, August 2 until 6 pm on August 11.
