McDonald's Revives Sweet Menu Item That Has Fans Begging to 'Ship One' Their Way

Another day, another international McDonald's menu item has won the hearts of fans back in the U.S .

Overseas, in cities like Paris, the fan-favorite fast food chain recently re-released The McChocoNuts, which it describes as its "first sweet burger."

The sandwich first appeared in 2020 before slowly disappearing from some stores a few years ago. Made to order and served hot, according to the official online menu in France , its brioche bun base is topped with a crunchy melt-in-your-mouth "McChocoNuts"-flavored disc (which we presume is supposed to taste like a chocolate-covered peanut), as well as peanut slivers and even more "choconuts."

As soon as stateside foodies got wind that the dessert was available at participating locations in France again, they began singing the same song and tune as they did with several other international exclusives , suggesting U.S. menus need a glow-up .

Influencer Snackolator was one of the first to lament over the limited release, admitting that while they don't have high hopes for the execution, "the name alone makes me want to fly out and order it!"

"We don’t have nothing omg," another fast food fanatic wrote before someone else similarly shared: "The other markets get these great food ideas. Jelly."

    Still, not everyone was satisfied.

"My first thought is 'just another fat bomb,'" someone else joked, "but also thinking what this needs is an ice cream center."

"I immediately thought of Buddy the Elf," another added.

It appears that Snackolator was onto something when they presumed the "legendary" menu item could be lackluster, as the reviews from those who have actually tried it, both before and after it was re-released, are mixed.

Some loved it enough to rave about the experience online , while others preferred to spend a few moments mocking its presentation and name .

But just as eager as fans can be to admit when they want to try new or returning menu items , they're also some of the first to be critical of limited releases as they didn't take too kindly of McDonald's Olympics-inspired "Taste of the World" menu or its recently revived pie flavor .
