Cillian Murphy's top five highest-rated films as new movie scores 100% on Rotten Tomatoes

Cillian Murphy 's top five highest-rated films have been revealed after the actor's new movie debuted to rave reviews scoring an impressive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes .

The inspirational animation, Kensuke's Kingdom, is based on the book by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo and follows the story of a young fictionalized version of him as he embarks on an epic adventure at sea.

Eleven-year-old Michael and his sister join their parents on board the Peggy Sue in the gripping tale. However, everything changes when Michael and Stella are thrown overboard into the Indian Ocean due to a terrifying storm that leaves them castaway on a mysterious island where a stranger appears to be attempting to care for them.

The animation features the vocal talents of Cillian alongside Paddington's Sally Hawkins and Godzilla's Ken Watanabe. The flick has toppled Oppenheimer as Cillian Murphy's highest-rated film on Rotten Tomatoes .

The Cork native shot to fame with his first lead role in Danny Boyle’s post-apocalyptic thriller 28 Days Later and went on to work with legendary filmmakers including Christopher Nolan in Batman Begins, Inception, and Dunkirk.

In 2023, Cillian finally landed his first leading role with the filmmaker in Oppenheimer and subsequently Best Actor at the Oscars . The drama on the development of the atomic bomb debuted at a rating of 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes whereas Kensuke’s Kingdom has just debuted with a 100 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
