The construction of what will soon be the world’s largest wildlife crossing is progressing over the 101 Freeway near Liberty Canyon Road in Agoura Hills.

A drone video released by Caltrans last week reveals that the bridge's deck is now fully paved over all lanes of the freeway, with work underway to erect concrete sound walls.

The Annenberg Wildlife Crossing Bridge, scheduled to open in early 2026, is designed to provide safe passage for animals such as mountain lions, bobcats, and deer, aiming to reconnect habitats fragmented by the busy freeway.

This project, once completed, will be a significant milestone in wildlife conservation efforts, promoting safer and more sustainable environments for local wildlife.

Why did they make it so huge? I mean this thing could accommodate a herd of Buffalo.
