Taco Bell is throwing a bash for the 20th birthday of the Mountain Dew Baja Blast, complete with special items to mark the occasion .
The Baja Blast, crafted by Mountain Dew exclusively for Taco Bell in 2004, has become a signature drink of the beloved Mexican-inspired fast-food joint with its tropical lime flavour.
To mark the milestone, Taco Bell has joined forces with Stanley to release a limited edition cup. According to a press release, this exclusive item will be available from Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. PST via the Taco Bell app.
The first 20 lucky app users to snag one of these tumblers on launch day will be treated to a year's supply of free Baja Blast. Reward Members should keep an eye on the Tuesday Drops section of the app for their chance to bag the coveted Stanley Cup.
Following that, Taco Bell is set to introduce its Baja Blast gelato from Sept. 3.
The gelato, a collaboration between PepsiCo Foodservice and Taco Bell, had a brief debut in 2023 but will now enjoy a nationwide rollout, though it's an exclusive perk for Taco Bell Rewards Members who can order through the app.
Taco Bell also invites everyone to join in their $1 happy hour, offering guests a medium Baja Blast for just a buck every day from 2 to 5 p. m.
Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell's Chief Marketing Officer, expressed pride in the enduring partnership: "For two decades, MTN DEW BAJA BLAST has been the drink that loyal fans just can't get enough of. We're extremely proud of the synonymous, iconic duo Taco Bell and BAJA BLAST have become."

According to the press release, there are more crave-worthy creations in store featuring the Baja Blast. The brand has plans to launch a Mountain Dew Baja Blast Pie later in the year.
