Trisha Krishnan recently took up the role of an honest cop in the latest web series, Brinda . Streaming on SonyLIV, the web series is entertaining the audience and has received a lot of love. As the web series keeps the viewers hooked till the end, they are eager to learn if it will be renewed for season 2.

Besides Trisha, the web series also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Aamani, Ravindra Vijay, Anandsami, Jaya Prakash, and Rakendu Mouli. Per SonyLIV, Brinda’s official synopsis reads, “Young, socially awkward yet morally grounded SI cadet Brinda stumbles upon a brutal murder with a chilling modus operandi. As the killer slips through her grasp, she faces personal and bureaucratic turmoil, but the hardest challenge is the moral reckoning that could define her career and conscience.”

Brinda begins with the story of a young girl who gets separated from her mother and brother due to their villagers’ superstition. Later, Brinda, an honest sub-inspector is seen following a case of a series of murders. As these murders have something in common, Brinda digs deeper and finally finds a clue. As a result, it is revealed that it was her brother, Satya, who was behind the murders.

Satya, who has been posing as a businessman named Anand, is keen on seeking revenge on every religious person. As he tries to kill a huge crowd, Brinda confronts him. When she fails to convince him, even after revealing she is his long-lost sister, she kills him.

The web series Brinda ends with the killing of the main villain. Therefore, it does not leave much room for another season. Viewers believe if the makers wish to extend the show, they might need to give its titular character more challenges. Moreover, they might need to bring more characters into the story.

While the makers have not announced Brinda Season 2 yet, updates on the same are awaited.
