When it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers ' reported pursuit of a trade for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, things have been all over the place — and that's putting it mildly.
One minute the Steelers were in it, the next minute the Steelers were out of it . Then, on Tuesday, Pittsburgh was reportedly back in it and hope has been revived that the Steelers can make the major upgrade at wide receiver they need.
Pittsburgh already has a No. 1 option in 2022 second-round pick George Pickens, but there are several question marks behind him.
Van Jefferson and Quez Watkins have been borderline non-existent in recent years, Calvin Austin has just 180 receiving yards in two seasons, one of which was wiped out due to injury , and Roman Wilson is a rookie, making him a total wild card.
Adding Aiyuk would immediately beef things up and push all of those guys down one spot on the depth chart , and he would give the Steelers one of the better one-two punches in the NFL at the position, along with Pickens.
As Steelers fans wait to hear what's next in their team's pursuit of Brandon Aiyuk, we're keeping all of the latest rumors together below with our tracker. The newest updates are at the top.
