Samsung has finally obtained the long-awaited clearance for its HBM chips from Nvidia. Samsung has been striving to get its HBM3 and HBM3E chips certified by Nvidia since last year but faced obstacles due to heat and power consumption issues not meeting Nvidia's standards. It appears that Samsung has made slight modifications to its HBM3E chips to address these concerns.

Following up on reviews for the Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X, a flurry of reports are coming out about AMD’s pricing for its new Zen 5 CPUs. Across the lineup, which is sure to earn some spots among the best processors, AMD reduced prices compared to the previous generation. That’s great. But it’s not exactly an accurate picture of pricing right now.

Intel added two years of additional warranty coverage for its 13th and 14th Gen Core processors last week, and now it’s clarifying this will also apply to processors sold without a box to OEMs or system integrators. If you’re having crashing issues you can contact Intel if you purchased a boxed CPU, or your OEM or system builder otherwise. Intel has also supplied a list of processors that will get the warranty extension, found below.

So far, we've had a glimpse at how each Lunar Lake SKU performs at different tiers. As expected, the top-spec Core Ultra 9 288V leads the charts, followed by the Core Ultra 7 268V. Things get weird with lower-specced SKUs like the Core Ultra 5 236V, but now, the Core Ultra 5 226V's Geekbench listing gives us a better idea about how the entry-level chip will perform ahead of its September launch.
