'Cockroach Conman' Skip Bayless Reveals Who's to Blame for TV Firing

    By Mike Fisher,

Skip Bayless is exited the TV racket this week the same way he entered it.

    With a lie.

"I'm leaving FS1,'' the slimy quasi-inventor of the "fake debate'' show announced on social media after his recent final show (while oddly not announcing it on the actual show.) "I've been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. ...''

This is, of course, a lie.

So in the end, the reprehensible Bayless - who has made a handsome living pretending to be a Dallas Cowboys fan while also spinning vicious "hot takes'' and damaging lies about prominent sports figures from Tom Landry to Troy Aikman to LeBron James to Dak Prescott to Caitlin Clark - announced that he'd resigned ...

A couple of weeks after it was made clear that he was being fired.

Now he's finger-pointing at the culprits, those who did him wrong. (FS1 should've backed him more, somebody else should've mended his Shannon Sharpe fence, etc.) But really all that happened was that truth has caught up with fiction and justice has caught up with a crook.

The viewers don't view. The advertisers don't advertise. The victims recognize the con.

There are those who are congratulating Bayless on his successful run as a purveyor of phoniness, and if all that matters is money, they are right; he's getting fired from (again, not quitting) a job that was paying him $8 million per year.

But those people don't know Bayless the person, who has constructed both a personal and professional life based entirely on his imagination. From his claim that as a young teen he punched his restauranteur dad so hard that Pops went flying into a vat of potato salad to his boasts about being a superstar high school jock to his exploits as a 1970's Dallas playboy to his bogus claims about weight-room achievements to his pretense as a Cowboys "fan'' and "insider'' ...

Skip has lived a lifetime of lies.

He says now that he's "excited for what’s coming up.'' His problem going forward will be the lack of excitement from his near-invisible audience. The number of people who read this story is likely to be greater than the number of people who watched his FS1 show. And if he thinks he'll make another $8 million by shifting full-time to YouTube?

He's got Cowboys-related videos on his channel that net him 700 to 800 viewers per show.

    That is not "exciting.''

Is there another internet channel that will hire this 72-year-old barnacle? Maybe. Cockroaches find a way of surviving.

But if they do? They will be hiring a sour fraud, a transparent fake, a talentless magician flat out of tricks.

They will be hiring Skip Bayless and his Lifetime of Lies.
