Starbucks fans are getting really excited about some of the new seasonal merchandise the coffee chain is expected to release this fall.
One Halloween-themed item in particular has captured coffee drinkers’ attention, with many now counting down the days until it arrives on store shelves.
A TikToker who goes by Cups and Coffee on the social media platform previewed several pieces of forthcoming Starbucks merchandise in a video they posted in early August. While the TikToker shared images of a few glow-in-the-dark cups that are expected to be released a little more than one month before Halloween, they spotlighted a purple glow-in-the-dark cup that they said they will “have to get.”
A close-up image included in the video showed a bright purple cup covered in sparkles and outfitted with a lime green straw. “It’s so pretty,” the TikToker gushed. “I love the purple.”
The cup’s keychain and grande sizes will be sold exclusively at licensed stores, the TikToker explained, while the venti-sized cup will be available for purchase at corporate stores. The cups are expected to arrive on shelves by mid-September.
Another preview of the holiday-themed cup was shared on Instagram by @the_tumbler_girl , who provided side-by-side photos of the item in the sunlight and in the dark to demonstrate its glow-in-the-dark transformation.
“OMG, have you seen the new Starbucks Fall release? 👻💜 This purple pleated glow-in-the-dark cup is EVERYTHING! 😮💨,” they wrote to caption the images.
Several fans who left comments on the post seemed just as excited to purchase the cup, with many American fans excited to learn that it will be sold in the U.S.
“This is so pretty,” one person wrote as another said they “Need this.”
“Now this one I want!!” one Instagram user exclaimed.
“I need this cup!!😍😍😍😍,” another Starbucks fan declared.
Along with the glow-in-the-dark reusable cup, the brand released a special Halloween collaboration with Disney as well as an all-black tumbler with a rumored slime-inspired cold cup also on the way.
