Former LSU football star donating thousands of meals to students

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Former LSU star and current quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow is working together with Kodiak to provide almost 30,000 meals to students.

The meals will go to students in Athens and Cincinnati, Ohio as well as Baton Rouge, according to FINN Partners.

They said Kodiak and Burrow are donating 9,999 meals to three separate programs in each city. The number of meals pays homage to the jersey number that the former LSU quarterback has worn throughout his career.

Students will have access to “Kodiak products including Power Cakes mix, a range of both Oatmeal and Flapjack Power Cups, Breakfast and Granola Bars,” according to FINN.

In Baton Rouge, the meals from Kodiak will be made available to students through the Three O’Clock Project .

“This partnership with Kodiak provides a great opportunity for the Joe Burrow Foundation to expand our efforts in promoting healthy breakfast options. I’m grateful for Kodiak’s commitment to provide nutritious meals to families in each of the communities that I have called home,” said Burrow.

Burrow invested in the Kodiak brand in 2022.
