Jacksonville, AL – Jacksonville is gearing up for one of its most anticipated events of the year as Spirit on Mountain Street makes its return on August 22. The city’s largest outdoor festival, hosted by the Jacksonville State Student Government Association, promises a night of delectable food, engaging activities, and live country music featuring artist Niko Moon.

The festivities will kick off at 6 p.m. on Mountain Street, adjacent to Jax State’s AmFirst Stadium. Attendees can look forward to the “Taste of the Town,” a culinary showcase where local restaurants offer samples of their most popular dishes for just $1 per ticket. The evening will also feature a free Kids Zone and a diverse vendor area, with something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Admission to the event is free for all.

At 8:30 p.m., country music fans will have the opportunity to see Niko Moon perform live in the stadium parking lot. Moon, known for his upbeat and positive tunes, rose to fame with his hit single “Good Time,” which topped country radio charts. His impressive songwriting credits include eight #1 songs and over 40 major record label cuts for artists such as Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band, and Rascal Flatts. Moon is also the founder of the “Happy Cowboy Foundation,” a nonprofit dedicated to charitable causes.

Now celebrating its 18th year, Spirit on Mountain Street has become a cornerstone of Jacksonville’s community events. Co-hosted by Jacksonville State University, Aligned Insurance, and the City of Jacksonville, the festival aims to bring the community together and support a worthy cause. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Jacksonville Christian Outreach Center, which provides essential financial assistance to local families in need.

For more information, visit the event’s official website or social media pages. Join the community on August 22 for a memorable evening of food, fun, and music as Spirit on Mountain Street kicks off the new school year in style.
