Corrections and clarifications

• We omitted to say that Prof Nicholas Wald, co-author of a letter ( Preventive medicine may be key to saving the NHS , 30 July, Journal, p9), is a director of Polypill Ltd, a cardiovascular disease prevention service that offers the type of medication referred to in the letter. This had been disclosed by him but was overlooked in editing.

• Bellshill is in North Lanarkshire, not “near Aberdeen” ( Reform’s new chair is set on seeing Farage in No 10 , 5 August, p19).
