    A Little Caesars Pizza location at 3541-2 University Blvd West in Jacksonville, Duval County, recently experienced a health inspection that highlighted several areas needing attention. The inspection revealed a total of seven violations, categorized as one high priority, two intermediate, and four basic.

    The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation conducted the inspection on August 2, resulting in a follow-up requirement. Despite these findings, which are not immediate issues to the public --the establishment was allowed to continue normal operations while working on rectifying the infractions.

    The inspection revealed one high-priority violation involving a live fly in the front lobby, in the "kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area, and/or bar area."

    Meanwhile, intermediate issues included the absence of a probe thermometer for checking food temperatures and a lack of proof for required employee training.

    Basic violations were more numerous, featuring the buildup of food debris on equipment door handles and soiled exterior surfaces, which were noted as repeat issues.

    Additionally, personal items were not stored above food preparation areas, and there was no handwashing sign at a key sink, both of which were addressed on-site. An unsavory odor near the rear grease trap was also reported.

    This Duval County Little Caesars Pizza restaurant, known for its carry-out pizza, wings, and breadsticks, holds a 3.5-star rating from 599 Google reviews, reflecting a generally positive customer experience despite these operational hiccups.
