Wrestling Legend Blames Britt Baker for Cody Rhodes’ AEW Departure

AEW star Britt Baker, who has been in the news for the past few days, is now blamed for WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes’ departure from the promotion. It was recently reported that Baker was involved in a backstage altercation with MJF and Alicia Atout following her return. This backstage altercation led to her suspension from All Elite Wrestling.

The conflict erupted when Britt Baker criticized MJF and his girlfriend, Alicia Atou, in the women’s locker room during the July 17 episode of Dynamite. Atout passed these comments to MJF, sparking a series of confrontations among the three. Will Ospreay also intervened, trying to ease the escalating tensions.

The situation intensified when frustrated MJF punched a wall backstage. Although Baker received a brief suspension after an HR investigation, she has remained active on television. She continues her feud with Mercedes Mone, with both stars scheduled to compete at All In at Wembley Stadium later this month.

Recently, wrestling legend Konnan blamed Britt Baker for Cody Rhodes’ departure from AEW. Konnan believes Baker’s actions contributed to Rhodes’ exit from the promotion in 2022. Although Rhodes has remained tight-lipped about his departure, Konnan’s comments might have revealed new insights into the situation.

Konnan claims Britt Baker & Brandi Rhodes had issues in AEW

The situation for AEW star Britt Baker continues to worsen. Once a top star in the promotion, Baker has recently been under scrutiny due to a backstage altercation with MJF. Wrestling legend Konnan has now claimed that Baker’s actions also contributed to Cody Rhodes’ departure from AEW in 2022 and return to WWE.

Speaking on the “Keepin’ it 100” podcast, Konnan suggested that Baker was one of the reasons for Cody Rhodes’ departure. He mentioned that issues between Brandi Rhodes and Britt Baker played a role in his exit from AEW. He stated, “One of the reasons that Cody left amongst many was there was problems between Brandi and Britt….Tony always takes her side….you’ll find out one day.”

While Baker and Rhodes have never been linked to his departure before, this is the first time they are being connected. It will be interesting to see if either of them responds to Konnan’s claim.
